Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Architect to serve as the Head of the Engineering Department. This leadership role involves overseeing and expanding all facets of our Engineering Department, which encompasses Architectural, Structural, MEP, BIM, Design Coordination, Technical Office, and Shop Drawing teams across existing and upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, organize, and develop the Engineering Department across all disciplines including Architectural, Structural, MEP, BIM, Design Coordination, Technical Office, and Shop Drawings.
- Manage and supervise the design development, technical coordination, and production of drawings for multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on luxury villas and upscale residential developments.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulations and standards set by Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, Trakhees, DDA, and other relevant UAE authorities.
- Collaborate closely with consultants, contractors, and site teams to maintain technical precision, buildability, and project timeline compliance.
- Establish and monitor BIM coordination procedures and quality standards across projects.
- Promote engineering excellence, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail throughout all project phases.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture is mandatory; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
- At least 15 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 7 years within the UAE construction sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing Engineering Departments for respected contractors or developers.
- Extensive background in executing luxury villas, high-end residential projects, and mid-rise buildings.
- Deep knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations, DEWA, Civil Defense, Trakhees, DDA, and related UAE authority compliance.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Coordination, Navisworks, and MS Project; expertise with Autodesk Construction Cloud is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, engineering coordination, and contract documentation.
- Strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication, and effective decision-making skills to oversee multiple projects concurrently under strict deadlines.
