Senior Airport Services Agent

Overview

Qatar Airways invites qualified candidates to join their Ground Services team in Kigali, Rwanda, as a Senior Airport Services Agent. This role focuses on delivering exceptional passenger service aligned with the airline's commercial and safety regulations, covering check-in, boarding, special services, lounges, and baggage handling to ensure consistent and quality treatment of passengers and their luggage.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous communication with check-in counters, transfer desks, and related departments to facilitate smooth passenger acceptance processes.
• Collaborate closely with check-in, transfer desk personnel, and support the Airport Services Supervisor in operational areas.
• Guide arriving and departing passengers to appropriate locations including hotel desks, visa counters, transfer desks, premium lounges, and boarding gates.
• Assist duty officers in managing company belongings and documentation.
• Coordinate with Ground Handling Agents (GHA) for efficient processing of hotel-arranged and transfer passengers.
• Ensure seamless passenger handling in partnership with GHA teams.
• Support passengers regarding entry prerequisites such as visa requirements and residence permits.
• Ensure smooth passenger assistance throughout airport facilities.
• Carry out other duties as needed to maintain operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least one year of relevant experience in Airport Operations with a major airline combined with general customer service experience.
• Demonstrated high energy levels and a constructive mindset suited to a dynamic and demanding environment.
• Prior experience with Departure Control Systems (DCS) and understanding of ticketing processes are advantageous.
• Flexibility to work shifts is mandatory.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
• Strong familiarity with Amadeus reservation system is highly preferred.
• Right to live and work in Rwanda is necessary.
