Senior Account Executive

Overview

The Senior Accountant role involves directing comprehensive financial activities within the organization, including managing general ledger functions and financial reporting. This position requires leadership in month-end and year-end closing procedures, account reconciliation, budget variance analysis, and ensuring tax and accounting compliance according to GAAP and local regulations. Mentoring of junior accounting staff is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and closing journal entries to ensure accurate reporting.
• Analyze budget versus actual financial performances and interpret general ledger accounts to enlighten on the organization's financial condition.
• Support management in forecasting expenditures, revenue projections, and strategic financial planning activities.
• Manage and reconcile complex balance sheet and income statement accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
• Develop and implement strong internal control policies and procedures that reduce financial risk.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting sub-ledgers.
• Coordinate necessary documentation and preparations for internal and external audits.
• Assist in preparing tax filings including sales, payroll, and corporate taxes, collaborating with external tax advisors as needed.
• Ensure full compliance with GAAP and local statutory regulations across all financial transactions.
• Delegate tasks, train, and oversee junior accounting personnel including bookkeepers and analysts.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend or implement technological improvements to enhance workflow efficiencies.
• Provide expert financial advice and data to executives and various department leaders.

Additional Information

This position is based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India and operates onsite. The salary range is between 28000 to 32000 INR monthly. The role demands experience with complex financial management and proven leadership capabilities within accounting.
