Role Summary

This position is focused on protecting the hotel’s property, guests and occupants. The role involves routine patrols, CCTV monitoring, access management and prompt response to security events.

Key Duties

• Inspect people and vehicles entering or leaving the property to ensure proper security screening.
• Observe surveillance systems and take action when unusual or suspicious activity is detected.
• Carry out scheduled rounds across the premises to help maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Handle emergencies and security incidents quickly, calmly and professionally.
• Keep detailed and accurate incident logs, and escalate suspicious matters to the appropriate authorities when needed.
• Control access by verifying identification and distributing passes to authorised individuals.
• Apply hotel security rules and standard procedures while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Participate in fire and safety training sessions or courses whenever required.

Requirements

• Completion of the Basic Security Course (BSC) is mandatory.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
• The role needs someone physically capable of standing for extended periods, patrolling the property and responding to incidents.
• Applicants should be able to work effectively both on their own and as part of a team.
• A steady temperament and the ability to respond quickly under pressure are important.
