Role Overview
As a Security Enablement Officer, your primary responsibility will be to monitor and report on security systems such as equipment, alarms, applications, and local intelligence. You will manage security incidents, assist employees with security-related concerns, and support audits and access management. Coordination with local client security teams and identified service partners is vital, including liaising with the Global Security Command Centre (GSCC) to share incident information and handle employee security matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold Pinkerton’s core principles: integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Support and resolve local security incidents and threats by collaborating with respective security teams.
- Coordinate effectively with the GSCC to manage security-related communications and input.
- Keep detailed logs and produce incident reports for events during shifts.
- Respond promptly to critical incidents like fires or violent occurrences.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide employee support.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate with strong communication and writing abilities or experienced professionals with at least 2 years in a Security Operations Centre within a recognized organization.
- Preferably certified or trained in GSOC/command centre/control room operations; certifications in risk and crisis management are advantageous.
- Proficient in security technology applications and advanced computer skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the capability to prepare graphic presentations and concise reports.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and local language as applicable to the security operations location.
- Demonstrate discipline, punctuality, and honesty.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and promptly respond to urgent situations.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
Working Conditions
- Must have the physical and mental fitness to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Regular use of computers and office equipment.
- Occasional lifting and reaching for small objects.
- Frequent periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Travel may be required.
