Script Writer / Copy Writer

About the Role

NTU International is preparing a proposal related to enhancing communication outreach and engagement concerning EU policies in North Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf region. To support the project over a 36-month period, the company is forming a pool of qualified Non-Key Experts (both Senior and Junior) to be called upon as needed.

The Junior Non-Key Expert - Script Writer / Copy Writer will provide strategic, technical, and logistical communication assistance to DG MENA. Their efforts will focus on planning, developing, and executing daily communication tasks to increase visibility, engagement, and influence of the European Union’s policies, initiatives, and partnerships across the specified regions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create compelling content for various platforms including websites, newsletters, articles, press releases, and social media.
• Write scripts for mediums such as videos, podcasts, interviews, and other audiovisual materials.
• Craft campaign messaging and storytelling designed for diverse audiences and communication channels.
• Edit and proofread communication pieces to ensure clarity, coherence, and accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with communication officers, graphic designers, and audiovisual teams to develop cohesive communication products.
• Adjust content to suit digital platforms while adhering to EU editorial and communication standards.
• Assist in drafting speeches, briefing notes, essential messages, and promotional content.
• Support the advancement of communication campaigns and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A university degree or its equivalent in journalism, communication, or languages.
• Strong command of written English.
• Knowledge of French and/or Arabic considered advantageous.
• At least two years of general copywriting or journalistic writing experience.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience developing communication content such as articles, scripts, and social media posts.
