About the Role
Ferrero/Fannie May is hiring a Sanitation Clerk to support the high standards of quality, food safety, and cleanliness that customers have trusted for more than a century. In this position, you will be part of the sanitation team and help ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed correctly, recorded accurately, and carried out in line with company and regulatory expectations.
This opening includes two positions on first shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The hourly rate is $17.00. Overtime, including Saturdays, may be required depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general environmental cleanup, including trash removal and facility cleaning tasks.
- Perform cleaning duties in washrooms and related areas.
- Clean equipment such as machines and drains.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Take on any other assigned tasks from the lead or supervisor.
- Join ongoing training sessions to improve knowledge and job skills.
- Help maintain food safety and quality systems throughout the facility.
- Support compliance with environmental rules and assist with regulatory audit readiness.
Candidate Profile
The role is suited to someone who can follow sanitation procedures carefully, work from instructions, and contribute to a clean and compliant production environment. A basic understanding of arithmetic and the ability to read and follow policies, procedures, and directions are important for success in this role.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements
This job involves physical activity such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive manual tasks.
