Job description

Role Overview

The RSOC Operator is a pivotal member of the Regional Security Operations Center team based in Dublin 2, working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to oversee security operations on a day-to-day basis. This permanent position involves shift work including weekdays, nights, and weekends. The hourly wage starts at €24 and increases to €25 after six months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle routine and emergency communications professionally.
  • Monitor fire alarms, door access alerts, duress alarms, CCTV systems, and access control systems continuously.
  • Maintain situational awareness by tracking radio communication across local and remote sites.
  • Assess global incidents affecting client offices, facilities, and personnel and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Monitor travel notifications and utilize travel tracking software to alert corporate travelers of safety risks.
  • Conduct information gathering and threat analysis using specialized intelligence platforms.
  • Provide security guidance to employees, vendors, and visitors.
  • Manage access control alarm systems and perform related administrative duties.
  • Conduct routine health checks on security software, CCTV, and access control networks, reporting faults promptly.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments, external vendors, and response teams.
  • Communicate critical security information effectively using established protocols.
  • Participate actively in projects related to security operations, with scope for full ownership depending on skills and development.
  • Document incidents, shift activities, and emergency responses accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform lawful duties assigned by management within the role's scope.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of a valid Private Security Authority (PSA) License is required.
  • Experience with access management control systems such as Lenel or Genetec is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with traveler-safety platforms like Travel Tracker is desirable.
  • Experience using global threat-monitoring systems like NC4 Risk Center or Dataminr is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of security systems, alarm monitoring, and SOC operational protocols.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English with at least B2 level competence.
  • Ability to distill complex data into concise incident reports and communicate clearly.
  • Prior experience in a Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), or similar environment is expected.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset, committed to integrity and confidentiality.
  • Customer-focused with ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
