Job description
Overview
As the Revenue Manager, you will be accountable for managing the transient rooms inventory across the hotel cluster, maximizing revenue from transient bookings, and ensuring optimal pricing strategies. You will handle releasing group rooms back to general inventory, maintain clear booking windows for customers, and recommend pricing and positioning for multiple properties. Overseeing the inventory management system to validate selling strategies will also be part of your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and report sales versus projections, breaking down data to understand core drivers.
- Evaluate data and results to identify the best solutions to problems and improve processes.
- Utilize computer systems for entering data, programming, and generating reports and presentations.
- Conduct detailed sales strategy analyses and refine approaches to increase market share at all properties.
- Maintain precise reservation system data and analyze trends to forecast future demand and address challenges.
- Provide periodic updates on the transient market segment and support account diagnostics with validated conclusions.
- Stay informed on market developments and adjust strategies accordingly to meet and exceed performance, budget, and team objectives.
- Lead planning meetings to organize and coordinate revenue management activities and strategic execution.
- Develop long-term objectives and implement strategies aligned with brand philosophies and stakeholder needs.
- Drive execution of predetermined revenue strategies while ensuring compliance with corporate and brand standards.
- Collaborate with cluster general managers, leadership teams, and market sales to provide revenue management expertise.
- Communicate sales strategies and rate restrictions, monitoring market changes to adjust as necessary.
- Manage room inventory to maximize cluster revenue and assist in pricing and business evaluation.
- Coordinate strategies among group sales offices and support cluster-wide selling initiatives.
- Use reservation and demand forecasting systems to plan and control selling strategies effectively.
- Monitor distribution channels for accuracy and competitor positioning.
- Implement property diagnostic processes to optimize revenue and profits and conduct revenue testing with evaluations.
- Recommend improvements for enhanced revenue management processes.
- Communicate brand initiatives, market demand, and analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners, and owners, ensuring brand equity protection.
- Develop and maintain proactive relationships with internal key stakeholders and serve as liaison between property and corporate support.
- Keep executives, peers, and subordinates informed with timely updates and participate in staff, forecast, and long-range meetings as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a two-year degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field, with at least 3 years of experience in revenue management, sales, or marketing; OR
- Hold a four-year bachelor’s degree in the above fields with a minimum of 1 year professional experience in revenue management, sales, or marketing.
Additional Information
Location is at Third Ring Road Al Naseem District near Al Rajhi Mosque, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is a full-time, on-site management position within the hotel's revenue management category.
