Role Overview
The Revenue Manager is entrusted with maximizing revenue from rooms and services by employing effective pricing, controlling inventory, and forecasting demand. This is a full-time, on-site position in Coimbatore involving monitoring daily bookings, studying market and competitor pricing, and adjusting strategies accordingly. Responsibilities include generating revenue reports, evaluating performance versus budgets, and collaborating with sales, reservations, and front office teams to optimize occupancy rates and average daily revenue. The manager will also manage distribution channels, ensure accurate rate and availability inputs, and design promotions and packages targeting specific market segments. Supporting annual budget preparation, suggesting long-term revenue strategies, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards are additional key duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical capability to interpret data trends and make informed revenue decisions.
- Expertise in revenue management methods and proper revenue recognition practices.
- Proficiency in finance and accounting concepts related to hotel budgets and profit-and-loss management.
- Preferred educational background includes a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, finance, business, or related disciplines.
- Experience with hotel revenue management, reservation systems, or front office operations, along with knowledge of Property Management Systems and revenue management software is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, along with advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
