Role Overview
This position plays a central part in keeping residential construction projects on schedule. You will be the go-to person for project managers, superintendents, and field teams to understand current progress, upcoming milestones, and any schedule issues that need attention.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update detailed schedules for residential construction work using scheduling tools.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to collect accurate progress updates and keep timelines current.
- Track project performance against the baseline plan and identify delays, risks, or schedule gaps early.
- Share schedule revisions and milestone changes clearly with all relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate scheduling coordination meetings with project teams and segment leadership.
- Assist in preparing recovery plans when work starts slipping behind the plan.
- Maintain organized historical schedule records to support future planning and estimating efforts.
- Coordinate with procurement and materials teams so deliveries align with project timing.
- Support closeout paperwork and documentation as projects are completed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in construction scheduling, project coordination, or a related role.
- Comfort using computers and strong proficiency with Excel.
- Effective communication skills to bridge office and field teams.
- Ability to notice issues early and remain composed when schedules change.
