About the Role
Join the University of Queensland Library's Scholarly Communication and Repository Services team as a Research Output Officer, responsible for ensuring the integrity and discoverability of research outputs through the UQ eSpace repository. This fixed-term, full-time position lasts until the end of December 2026 and is based at the vibrant St Lucia campus. Your work will contribute significantly to showcasing UQ's research achievements and supporting systems vital for reporting and performance assessment.
Key Duties
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive publication records that highlight UQ research.
- Support open access initiatives to enhance the visibility and impact of research outputs.
- Review and manage research data to aid in institutional reporting and performance metrics.
- Offer expert support and guidance to researchers and the wider university community.
- Ensure that the UQ eSpace repository remains reliable, precise, and easily discoverable.

The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail-focused, with a passion for managing information systems and data. You should excel in a collaborative setting and be committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Formal qualifications in library and information studies or an equivalent mix of education, experience, and training.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
- Proficiency in digital technologies and data management, including experience with databases, information repositories, or related systems.
- Excellent organizational abilities, initiative, and skill in balancing multiple competing priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling cooperative work across diverse stakeholder groups.
Additional Information
This appointment offers a base salary between 79,096 and 83,863 AUD plus 17% superannuation, classified as HEW Level 4. Benefits include up to 26 weeks of paid parental and primary care leave, 17.5% leave loading, flexible and hybrid working options, health and wellbeing programs, discounted staff studies, on-campus childcare, affordable parking, and salary packaging.
