Position Details

• Title: Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative
• Location: Remote within two hours of Mission Valley, San Diego, CA
• Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts; availability required between 6 AM and 6 PM, occasionally extending to 9 PM

Role Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic and professional assistance to benefit plan participants through telephone, email, and instant messaging.
• Adapt communication style to effectively engage with various individuals, maintaining professionalism during challenging conversations.
• Protect confidential information adhering to HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards.
• Carefully document call details and case notes with accuracy and attention to detail.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum qualification of a High School Diploma or GED
• Customer service experience is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple computer windows
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
• Capability to work effectively in a virtual environment within the geographic location constraint
