Overview
Selecta stands as Europe's largest provider of unattended self-service coffee and convenience food solutions, excelling in vending and specialist coffee services. We are currently recruiting a Relief Vending Operative to join our team, centered on delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring all machines are fully stocked and maintained to the highest hygiene standards. This role involves mobility, visiting multiple client locations daily to restock and clean either coffee or vending units while acting as a friendly client liaison during visits.
Operating in 16 European countries, Selecta serves 12 million customers daily. In the UK, the company provides a national service to approximately 3,500 businesses across varied settings including workplaces, educational institutions, hospitals, and more.
Key Duties
- Refill and clean vending machines according to company standards consistently.
- Manage stock inventory and cash accurately for machines and company vehicles.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues such as cup jams and blocked components, escalating faults to the Service Desk.
- Report incidents such as accidents, unfit food, or client complaints promptly to management or the Service Desk on the day they occur.
- Train new employees and support upskilling within the team to sustain quality customer service.
- Maintain courteous and high-quality customer interactions at all times.
- Conduct audits and quality inspections on assigned machines, coordinating with managers and retail merchandisers for follow-ups.
- Identify and report any hygiene deficiencies in machines below industry standards.
- Operate vans for site visits or utilize public transport when covering static sites.
