Regulatory Readiness Program Manager - Asia-Pacific

Overview

The Regulatory Readiness team at Meta ensures that the company is well-prepared for changes in the global regulatory environment. This team plays a crucial role by monitoring regulatory developments, analyzing risks, and managing programs designed to help Meta anticipate and react effectively to regulatory changes affecting its products and billions of users worldwide. The Asia-Pacific (APAC) team is seeking a Program Manager to help lead these efforts in one of the most rapidly evolving and diverse regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire process of responding to regulatory inquiries, statutory requests, investigations, and consultations across the APAC region, ensuring all responses are thorough, consistent, accurate, and submitted on schedule.
• Manage and prioritize new regulatory requests by engaging subject matter experts from legal, policy, and product teams, coordinating timelines, and driving accountability to meet deadlines imposed by regulators.
• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments across APAC to set priorities and lead readiness initiatives that prepare product and operational teams for upcoming regulatory obligations and enforcement timelines.
• Create clear, polished communications and reports for executives that summarize response statuses, compliance measures, and emerging regulatory risks, translating complex regulatory concepts into actionable insights.
• Design and enhance workflows, tools, and frameworks to improve the team's efficiency and consistency as regulatory demands increase over time.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in program management, regulatory affairs, public policy, compliance, risk management, or related disciplines.
• Proven track record managing complex, time-sensitive programs involving multiple cross-functional teams and strict deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of the APAC regulatory environment, with substantial experience in at least two to three key jurisdictions within the region.

• Experience applying AI technologies and tools to optimize workflows and achieve tangible improvements in efficiency and quality.
• Background in ethical AI practices including risk assessments, bias mitigation, and quality assurance.
• Commitment to continual AI skill enhancement such as prompt engineering and agent orchestration, keeping current with emerging AI trends.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities in English, capable of producing executive-ready materials under tight timelines.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to foster accountability in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with major APAC regulatory frameworks and transparency or compliance reporting processes.
• Advanced qualifications in law, public policy, international relations, political science, or related fields.
• Experience working within global organizations across multiple time zones.
• Proficiency in an additional APAC language beyond English, facilitating direct interactions with regulators and stakeholders regionally.
• Experience managing government or regulatory stakeholder relationships, particularly in technology areas such as content regulation, data protection, AI governance, online safety, or platform accountability.
