Position Overview

The Regional Director of Operations is a senior leadership role accountable for the overall success, profitability, and cultural integrity of multiple locations within a designated area. Reporting to the Brand President, this position leads multi-unit and store managers to ensure all locations meet brand standards, provide outstanding guest experiences, and achieve operational and financial goals. The role involves translating strategic objectives into actionable plans at the store level, fostering leadership development, driving sales and margin growth, preserving company values, and supporting new store openings during expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full accountability for profitable performance of all stores within the region, safeguarding company culture and values.
  • Create and implement regional plans to meet financial, operational, and customer service targets, aligning field leaders with clear priorities.
  • Lead and mentor multi-unit and store management teams with consistent, constructive feedback focused on defined expectations.
  • Maintain a frequent and visible presence in locations to enforce processes, evaluate performance, support staff, and stay engaged with daily operations.
  • Manage regional profit and loss, controlling costs such as COGS and labor through operational oversight, inventory, and workforce scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six years of progressively responsible operations leadership experience, including at least two years managing multiple units, ideally in restaurant, retail, foodservice, or hospitality sectors.
  • Proven success in leading multiple locations to surpass sales, profitability, and customer service objectives.
  • Strong financial skills with experience managing P&L, COGS, labor, and operational budgets across several units.
  • Proven ability to develop and coach leaders and teams effectively, with demonstrated internal talent promotion history.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of enforcing accountability while fostering trust and positive culture.
  • Proficient in using POS, scheduling, inventory, and reporting tools to drive data-based decisions and monitor performance.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region and work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
