UnboundEd is a collective of former educators, school and district leaders, curriculum experts, and education specialists committed to ensuring every student achieves success in school. We collaborate closely with teachers, coaches, principals, and district administrators to provide grade-level, engaging, affirming, and meaningful (GLEAM™) instructional experiences. Our goal is to transform teaching and learning to break traditional achievement patterns so all children can flourish. In 2023, UnboundEd partnered with Pivot Learning and CORE Learning to broaden our offerings and promote vital changes in instruction, especially in high-need schools.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Partnerships, the Regional Director holds a pivotal client-facing role focused on developing new partnerships, strengthening existing relationships, and advancing high-quality program engagement. This position requires occasional travel, up to 40%, for meetings, conferences, and events. The Regional Director plays a critical role in UnboundEd’s sales strategy, including qualifying leads, generating opportunities, and progressing them through the sales funnel. This role is ideal for educators, consultative sales professionals, or customer-centric leaders enthusiastic about contributing to a mission-driven team. Work performed directly influences educators’ professional development and ensures that students, mainly those historically underserved, receive exceptional instruction.
UnboundEd operates as a fully virtual organization. This exempt position can be based anywhere within the United States. All staff are expected to be available during core business hours, 9 am to 5 pm local time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan aligned with annual revenue goals and key customer targets.
- Use market insights, data analysis, and past sales history to identify and prioritize top prospects and generate new business opportunities.
- Provide strategic consultation to district partners to help them achieve instructional objectives.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tailoring strategies to account and territory-specific needs.
- Maintain accurate tracking of accounts, opportunities, and next steps within the CRM system.
- Utilize CRM data to move opportunities through the sales cycle and successfully close deals.
- Consistently achieve or exceed individual and team revenue targets.
- Offer strategic advice and high-quality interaction to build trust and foster strong partnerships with schools and districts.
- Develop expertise in all UnboundEd programs to recommend appropriate professional learning solutions.
- Actively listen and assess client needs to propose suitable services.
- Lead customer meetings and develop strategies for sustained engagement and partnership growth.
- Maintain frequent follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and measurable impact.
- Stay informed on industry trends by participating in conferences, conducting research, engaging in internal training, and pursuing professional development.
Requirements
- Must be located remotely within the United States; candidates should have experience establishing strong relationships with school and district leaders across diverse geographies.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; the field of study is open. Advanced degrees or equivalent education and experience combinations are preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally including supervisory roles, sales, or managing large-scale projects.
- Proven record of exceeding sales quotas with annual revenue surpassing $2 million.
- Demonstrated commitment to UnboundEd’s mission and values with a focus on equity and inclusion.
- Knowledge of urban school environments and challenges.
- Ability to effectively work independently within a remote setup while maintaining strong cross-regional relationships.
- Collaborative mindset and dedication to team engagement.
- Entrepreneurial approach with flexibility to adapt in a fast-evolving work environment.
- Proficient in tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, Salesforce, and Slack for collaboration and communication.
Compensation and Benefits
UnboundEd offers a competitive salary range between $100,000 and $125,000 annually, with an incentive compensation plan that can increase on-target earnings to $200,000-$250,000. Compensation is based on relevant experience, internal equity, and company budget, with no negotiation on offers to uphold equity.
Additional benefits include unlimited vacation time, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life insurance coverage, and a 401K retirement plan featuring a 5% employer contribution with immediate vesting.
