Descrizione del lavoro

Overview

A Tier 2 main contractor is hiring a Quality Engineer to support a range of building projects across the Dublin region. This position sits within the project management team and suits someone who has previously handled a comparable quality-focused role in Ireland or the UK. Candidates with site engineering experience who are interested in transitioning into quality will also be considered.

What you will do

  • Help set up and run the site quality control programme with subcontractors, while tracking compliance.
  • Review existing site conditions before new work packages begin.
  • Lead pre-construction quality meetings with the construction team before each major contract item starts.
  • Organise testing, inspections and demonstrations with the client or any relevant approving authority.
  • Check materials and equipment delivered to site to confirm they meet contract, specification or purchase order requirements.
  • Oversee the correction or rebuilding of rejected work and keep records of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work with third-party inspectors to ensure all required testing is completed and acceptable results are obtained.
  • Guide site teams on quality issues identified during in-progress inspections and advise on remedial steps.
  • Maintain site records covering conformance and inspections throughout the full project duration.
  • Ensure the final quality documentation file remains fully compliant with the contract requirements.
  • Coordinate all BCAR-related project documentation with the assigned certifier, design team and subcontractors.
  • Review and manage material test reports with the Structural Engineer and Site Engineer, making sure all non-conformances are identified and closed out to the satisfaction of the Structural Engineer and Contracts Manager without delay.
  • Manage priorities effectively and work to tight deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly with others and contribute effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

  • A strong technical background with proven project management and written communication ability.
  • A Level 8 or Level 9 qualification in Civil, Structural or Architectural disciplines, or a closely related field.
  • Excellent CSA technical knowledge, project management skills and written communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.

Package

  • Salary in the range of €55,000 to €65,000.
  • Travel support or a company vehicle.
  • A strong benefits offering.
  • Good prospects for career development.
