Role Overview
Polyconcept is hiring a Quality Control professional for its South Kolkata location in India. The position is a full-time, on-site role focused on inspection, vendor coordination, quality follow-up, and shipment support. The indicated compensation is USD 400-500 before tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out in-process/on-line checks, final inspections, pre-shipment inspections, and loading inspections.
- Complete and share inspection reports accurately within 24 hours of finishing each inspection, based on the findings recorded on site.
- Escalate any important issues, concerns, or observations to the POM or QE and document them in the inspection report when needed.
- Discuss inspection outcomes and comments with the vendor or factory representative after the inspection.
- Work with factories to manage rework and arrange re-inspections for rejected orders.
- Assess production progress and material readiness on site to help merchandisers make timely adjustments so shipments can stay on schedule.
- Spot production issues early and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Support vendor/factory claim handling and provide technical guidance to improve ongoing quality control capability.
- Assist the QE team and collaborate with vendors/factories to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for BU claims, when needed.
- Travel to vendor and factory locations according to the company’s inspection schedule.
- Plan travel routes and transportation efficiently to reduce travel cost.
- Handle any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Strong fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- 3 to 5 years of QC experience in the textile, bags, apparel, or soft goods sector.
- Prior experience with a buying office or trading company.

The role is based in South Kolkata, India. The company expects the selected candidate to visit vendors and factories as part of the job, and to manage travel logistics carefully to keep costs under control.
Compensation
