About The Role & Team
Become a valuable member of the Studios UK Publicity team, helping to deliver some of the world's most beloved entertainment to UK audiences. As a Publicist, you will contribute to creating imaginative and effective publicity campaigns for theatrical releases and Disney+ Studios content, collaborating closely with Publicity Managers, cross-department teams, and media partners to craft unforgettable campaigns that engage audiences deeply.
This role offers the chance to advance your career in film publicity and communications, gaining hands-on experience in award campaigns, talent-focused events, media relations, influencer outreach, and high-profile occasions. Reporting to the Publicity Manager, you'll be based in the London Hammersmith office four days a week, with the option to work from home one day (Monday or Friday).

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Publicity Managers in planning and executing standout publicity and communications campaigns for theatrical and Disney+ Studios releases.
- Coordinate publicity activities across internal departments, media outlets, and Disney's wider business areas ensuring unified, targeted, and impactful campaigns.
- Collaborate with US-based publicity and awards teams to facilitate screenings, set visits, awards efforts, UK press relations, talent schedules, media logistics, guest management, and security.
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Disney synergy partners.
- Manage daily communication planning, publicity schedules, and media contact databases.
- Ensure publicity materials are localized, accurate, updated, and accessible via platforms like image.net and DMS.
- Support media outreach, content releases, exclusive stories, and pitching across print, broadcast, digital, and emerging media.
- Serve as a primary contact for media inquiries, addressing requests swiftly and proactively.
- Track media industry trends, competitor actions, and shifts in the media environment to inform campaign strategies.
- Work alongside digital marketing, social media, and influencer teams to pinpoint and engage key influencers, supporting promotional events and screenings.
- Assist in organizing and executing premieres, screenings, and publicity events, aiming to create outstanding experiences that generate media and influencer attention.
- Provide support and mentorship to Publicity Interns, encouraging a cooperative and inclusive team atmosphere.
- Compile post-campaign analyses and reports, assessing publicity outcomes and sharing insights with relevant parties.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in film, entertainment, publicity, communications, or a related creative field.
- Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build effective cross-team relationships.
- Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to delivering quality output.
- Ability to adapt and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a knack for identifying opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness.
