Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Project Office Manager to oversee audit, risk, and governance within our Project Delivery team. This role ensures rigorous delivery standards and aligns projects with both business strategy and IT requirements.
Key Duties
- Align IT project delivery with overarching business objectives.
- Ensure projects and system enhancements meet set quality, budget, and timing targets.
- Maintain and enhance IT governance including security, audit, and risk resolution.
- Oversee project prioritisation, demand management, and portfolio steering activities.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, vendor engagement, and contract performance.
- Coordinate resource planning and generate reports across all projects and enhancements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bring clarity and structure amidst competing demands. Strong organisational skills combined with logical and analytical problem-solving capabilities are essential. The role requires confidence in navigating complex, interdisciplinary environments and supporting continuous change to ensure projects remain on track.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology.
- Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional IT projects from inception to completion, especially with a focus on IT governance, audit, and risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and persuasive influence abilities.
- Advanced organisational and change management skills emphasizing analytical thinking.

Additional Information
This is a full-time, 13-month fixed-term contract requiring onsite presence in Melbourne, Victoria, five days a week to support collaboration and business integration. Candidates must have unrestricted work rights in Australia. Successful applicants will complete a psychometric assessment and undergo police, qualification, and reference verifications to align with Mazda Australia's cultural standards.
