Role Overview
This role is for a Project Manager in the infrastructure division, based in Chennai. The position focuses on leading heavy engineering and infrastructure assignments from planning through execution, with close attention to timelines, budgets, technical accuracy, safety, and stakeholder coordination.

The hiring company is a professionally managed global HR consulting firm headquartered in Chennai, working across executive search, placements, HR training, and HR project management. The client organization is an MSME-registered business that designs, manufactures, and supplies bridge engineering components, industrial rubber hoses, sheets, and gaskets for major infrastructure and defence-linked projects across India.
Compensation and Growth
The compensation offered is in the range of 6 to 8 lacs per year, along with site allowances and strong growth opportunities. The role is for an immediate joiner or someone available within a short notice period.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, track, and deliver engineering projects while keeping scope, budget, and timelines under control.
- Act as the main coordination point between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams covering design, manufacturing, and procurement.
- Supervise site engineers, structural supervisors, and contractors to ensure efficient and high-quality execution on site.
- Review detailed engineering drawings, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor project costs, support profitability, validate site measurements, and manage running account and final billing.
- Maintain risk controls, enforce quality and safety standards, and support client approvals and collections.
Candidate Profile
- The ideal applicant should hold a B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of project management experience in bridge, highway, metro, or infrastructure construction is required.
- Strong ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings is necessary.
- Hands-on knowledge of RA billing, MS Project or Primavera, AutoCAD, and ERP systems is expected.
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential for client interaction.
- Working spoken knowledge of Tamil and Hindi is mandatory for site and contractor coordination.
- Applicants should have experience managing multiple complex project sites at the same time.
Additional Requirements
