Job Overview
This permanent, full-time role is based in Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand, offering competitive pay and benefits within a successful and expanding industry. As a Production Technician in the Global Animal Health Manufacturing department, you will play a key role in ensuring the production of antigens and vaccines meets stringent quality standards for global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing equipment and carry out processes following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to produce antigens and/or vaccines based on production schedules.
- Accurately document all activities in batch records, worksheets, and logs adhering to Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and effectively plan daily workload.
- Communicate promptly and clearly with colleagues across manufacturing and other departments to ensure smooth product flow.
- Provide on-the-job training to fellow technicians within your expertise.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce deviations by thoroughly following SOPs, investigating root causes of process variances, documenting deviation reports promptly, and implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain and update documentation such as SOPs, batch records, and worksheets to comply with GMP standards and support process changes.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- A science degree or a comparable qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
- Proficiency with computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, and SAP software.
