The Opportunity
This role sits within a team that helps turn products into finished goods. The work involves assembling, testing and packing high-quality products that are designed and manufactured in New Zealand before being sent worldwide. The operation follows Lean principles, so the right person will be comfortable with continuous improvement, reducing waste and maintaining a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
Because demand has increased, Gallagher is hiring for 6-month fixed-term opportunities across multiple shifts. Flexibility with working patterns is important to support the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out written work instructions carefully and without missing steps.
- Meet daily and weekly production goals.
- Work cooperatively with teammates to keep production running smoothly.
- Contribute ideas and support efforts to improve processes and reduce waste.
- Follow health and safety requirements to help maintain a safe workplace.
The Right Fit

Requirements
- Dependable and consistently on time.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Physically capable of standing for entire shifts.
- Able to stay focused and complete repetitive work accurately.
- Good hand skills for handling small components and tools.
Eligibility and Checks
Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a current work visa. The role also includes a pre-employment health assessment and drug test.

Additional Information
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based onsite in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand. The role is available across a variety of shifts, and applicants should be comfortable with changing shift patterns. Applications are being reviewed as they are received.
