Production Operator

Job Overview

As a Production Operator at Lian Hin Pte Ltd located in Singapore, you will be responsible for handling various stone fabrication tasks including cutting, polishing, grinding, and finishing stone slabs and products. The role demands precision, physical fitness, and collaboration to ensure high quality production output.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate bridge-cutting machines to cut large stone slabs into required sizes.
• Handle profiling and polishing machinery safely and effectively.
• Cut and polish sink holes following templates accurately.
• Use portable power tools to grind and polish edges of stone products.
• Color match and mix different types of resin adhesives to blend seamlessly with stone surfaces.
• Seal finished natural stones like granite to enhance durability and finish.
• Perform self-inspection of work to maintain quality control standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstations after operations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy materials.
• Competent in basic mathematical calculations.
• Adaptable to fluctuating production schedules and timelines.
• Team-oriented with a positive willingness to learn new skills.
• Skilled in using portable power tools and hand tools for cutting, grinding, shaping, and polishing various stone products.
• Experience with safe and proper tool usage in stone fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and diagrams, whether manual or CAD-generated.
• Prior familiarity with CNC machines is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of different types of stone surfaces is a plus.
• Understanding of adhesives, solvents like acetone and denatured alcohol used in fabrication is beneficial.
