Descrizione del lavoro

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Product Manager to take full ownership of our product roadmap and simplify complex challenges in advanced manufacturing, defense supply chains, and AI-enhanced workflows. This role acts as the critical link between customers, engineering teams, and company leadership, ensuring the development of the right features in the ideal sequence.

Role Responsibilities

  • Take charge of the product roadmap by consolidating inputs from clients, sales, engineering, and executives into a clear, prioritized, actionable plan.
  • Engage directly with customers and prospective clients in manufacturing, defense, and government sectors to extract insights that inform product choices.
  • Develop precise specifications and requirements to minimize ambiguity for engineering, overseeing progress through to product launch.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to manage trade-offs, adjust scope, and prioritize initiatives that maintain development speed, including scope reduction if necessary.
  • Set clear success criteria for each product release, including metrics to gauge effectiveness post-launch.
  • Contribute to positioning and go-to-market strategies in coordination with leadership, including pricing, packaging, and messaging.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) under government contracting regulations.
  • Work onsite 3 to 4 days per week at our San Francisco coworking space, with Fridays optionally remote.
  • Minimum three years of product management experience delivering technical B2B or enterprise software, preferably at an early-stage startup.
  • Strong skills in customer discovery, regularly engaging users to base roadmaps on validated evidence rather than assumptions.
  • Exceptional written communication abilities to produce unambiguous specs, PRDs, and updates.
  • Comfort and familiarity with technical concepts sufficient to engage effectively in engineering discussions.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment, making timely decisions despite incomplete information.
  • Preferred background includes experience in manufacturing, hardware, supply chain, CAD/PLM, or defense/government software sectors.
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning products, understanding how probabilistic systems influence roadmaps.
  • Desirable additional experience includes previous founding or first PM roles at startups, backgrounds in engineering, industrial design or operations, and experience working with U.S. government or defense clients.

Compensation

Competitive salary and equity package aligned with well-funded startup standards.
