About the Role
Ecolab is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join their team in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update master data linked to assigned purchased goods and services while adhering to departmental procedures and exploring automation opportunities.
- Gather and verify data from internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage pricing for assigned goods and services and investigate blocked invoices to identify causes and resolve issues.
- Implement prompt corrective actions for errors and recommend process changes to prevent future mistakes.
- Issue purchase orders for assigned goods and services.
- Perform data entry tasks into databases or ERP systems, handling confidential supplier or business information with care.
- Ensure compliance with purchase-to-pay policies and actively participate in compliance audits.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Note: Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Familiarity with systems such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and ERP platforms like SAP.
- Strong analytical skills to collect and interpret data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to develop strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience working within structured processes and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Understanding of procurement business processes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
Additional Information
The work shift is from 4 PM to 1 AM.
