Role overview
His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service is recruiting prison officers for HMP Highpoint in Kentford, England. This is a high-energy public service role where you will help protect the public and support offenders to make positive changes in their lives.
The position offers a salary range of £35,746 to £40,003 and suits people with integrity, resilience and strong interpersonal skills. The work is varied, fast-moving and rarely the same from one day to the next, with opportunities to build experience and progress over time.

What the role involves
Prison officers at HMP Highpoint carry out a wide variety of duties during the course of a day. At one moment you may be maintaining order and safety, and at another you may be guiding, supporting or educating prisoners.
The job involves direct work with prisoners in a secure and unique setting, with the broader aim of protecting the public and helping people move toward a better path.
Working pattern
You should be prepared to work different shifts and weekends.
