Role overview
His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service is hiring prison officers for HMP Highpoint. This is a demanding, fast-moving public service role where you will help keep people safe, support rehabilitation, and contribute to the wider goal of protecting the public.
The salary for this position is £35,746 to £40,003.
What the role involves
Every day in this job can look different. You may be required to act as a calm presence, support individuals through difficult moments, or guide learning and positive behaviour. As you build experience, you will also have opportunities to grow, progress, and move into specialist areas.
You will work directly with prisoners in a highly structured environment and help maintain safety for offenders, colleagues, and the wider establishment.

Working pattern
This post requires shift work and weekend availability.
