- Support ongoing well operations with timely petrophysical input and technical guidance.
- Prepare and contribute to field development plans using petrophysical findings.
- Provide specialist support to oil fields operated by QatarEnergy.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary reservoir teams on reservoir management activities.
- Check and maintain the quality and reliability of petrophysical datasets and log interpretations.
- Help improve reservoir understanding by combining petrophysical, geological, and dynamic data.
- Introduce and apply newer petrophysical technologies and methods to improve field performance and asset value.
- Coach junior staff and contribute expert advice to management.
Required experience and knowledge
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector.
- At least 6 years of experience combining petrophysical studies with operational work.
- Strong background in acquiring, evaluating, and interpreting petrophysical data, including advanced logging methods.
- Ability to identify hydrocarbon contacts and assess reservoir potential with accuracy.
- Solid understanding of open-hole logs, including wireline and MWD/LWD, as well as cased-hole and production logging tools.
- Experience in high-quality log data control and routine as well as complex log analysis.
- Ability to work in multicultural teams and communicate effectively with colleagues, field personnel, and management.
Preferred qualifications and exposure
- Experience improving petrophysical data acquisition and interpretation processes using industry best practices and innovative subsurface approaches.
- Exposure to CCAL and SCAL evaluation methods.
