Role Overview
QXO is hiring a Principal Executive Recruiter to lead end-to-end executive hiring and serve as a strategic partner to senior business leaders and executives. This position centers on corporate executive searches for VP, SVP, and C-suite leadership roles across the business. The right person will bring a strong sense of urgency, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive, high-profile searches in a fast-moving, high-growth setting. Experience from a retained or contingency executive search firm is especially valuable.
Work Location
This role is based in Greenwich, Connecticut and follows a hybrid schedule with 1 day per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete recruiting process for executive-level corporate roles, including VP, SVP, and C-suite searches.
- Work with senior leaders and hiring managers to shape search plans, map the market, and identify talent opportunities.
- Develop and sustain executive talent pipelines through direct sourcing, relationship building, referrals, and industry networking.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership throughout sourcing, evaluation, and selection.
- Deliver a personalized candidate experience while handling confidential and complex searches.
- Coach other recruiters and share effective practices for executive search and sourcing.
- Support HR and business leaders with succession planning and long-term talent pipeline strategy.
- Monitor recruiting data and market developments to guide hiring and executive talent decisions.
- Represent the organization externally through networking, partnerships, and employer branding efforts.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants have deep executive recruiting experience, especially across corporate functions, and are comfortable balancing multiple high-priority searches. They should be able to influence senior stakeholders, work discreetly, and communicate clearly in a demanding environment. Strong knowledge of sourcing tools, ATS platforms, and recruiting technology is important.
