PM Distribution Centre Team Member (Fixed Term until January 2027)

About The Role

Join The Warehouse Group's vibrant Distribution Centre team as a PM Shift Team Member, where every working day offers a unique set of challenges. Located in Rolleston, Canterbury, this role is central to sustaining smooth operations across multiple departments during the busy peak period until mid-January 2027. The Distribution Centre is a crucial hub, playing a key role in ensuring stock is efficiently dispatched to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide support across various departments depending on shifting daily priorities.
• Handle pallet stacking, managing loads from 1kg to 20kg, and sorting inventory by barcode.
• Utilize RF scanning technology to monitor and control stock movements.
• Prepare and wrap pallets, assist with dispatch procedures.
• Perform labelling, strapping, and other prep operations for outgoing stock.
• Engage in bulk picking and overall warehouse assistance as required.
• Adapt quickly and respond flexibly to changing demands throughout the shift.

Qualifications and Candidate Profile

• Physically fit and dependable, comfortable with extended periods on foot.
• Appreciates a dynamic environment and is eager to learn different facets of warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and smooth multitasking capabilities.
• Flexible and proactive with an aptitude for working collaboratively across diverse teams.
• Experience in warehouse or distribution centre roles is advantageous but not essential.

Additional Details

This fixed-term role runs from now through to mid-January 2027, primarily supporting the peak season. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The position offers a wage of NZD 30.28 per hour. Due to the high demand during this period, extended leave, including around Christmas and New Year, is generally not permitted. Public holidays are not worked.
