Playwright Automation Testing Engineer

About the role

This opportunity is for an experienced automation testing professional to work on a retail e-commerce platform that covers product discovery, cart handling, order placement, and payment flows. The position is based in Pune and is intended for candidates with 6 to 9 years of relevant experience.

What you will do

• Build and support test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Playwright.
• Create and run automated scripts for web application testing.
• Automate REST API scenarios with REST Assured.
• Cover UI, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Develop reusable helpers and framework modules to make automation faster and more efficient.
• Connect automation runs with Jenkins-based CI/CD workflows.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile Scrum teams.
• Review execution outcomes and log defects in Jira.
• Take part in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and test strategy conversations.
• Help expand automation coverage while reducing manual testing effort.
• Create data-driven and reusable test cases for repeatable validation.
• Check API responses, status codes, and JSON schema correctness.
• Produce automation and execution reports after test runs.

Tools and environment

The role works with Java, Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Jira.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.

Compensation

The salary range mentioned is INR 50,000 to 1,75,000 per month.
