Plant Head

Job Overview

The Plant Head is tasked with supervising and enhancing all facets of the manufacturing facility dedicated to CRGO transformer laminations. This position ensures production is safe, efficient, and cost-effective while meeting business goals.

Educational Background

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering is required.
• MBA in Operations is considered advantageous.

Experience Requirements

• Between 15 and 20+ years in manufacturing operations.
• Minimum of 8 years in a leadership capacity specifically in a CRGO transformer lamination or transformer core manufacturing plant.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage all plant operations to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Lead and implement production scheduling and planning effectively.
• Optimize usage of manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize output.
• Maintain quality assurance standards, reduce defects and manage corrective actions for ongoing improvements.
• Apply continuous improvement methodologies including Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Oversee preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
• Manage inventories and procurement to ensure smooth and uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
• Control and reduce manufacturing costs through efficiency and waste minimization.
• Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and statutory compliance aiming for zero accidents.
• Lead team development and cultivate a culture of high performance across functions.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to maintain quality and timely delivery while driving operational excellence.
• Track and analyze plant KPIs such as production rates, OEE, equipment utilization, quality metrics, cost control, inventory, safety, and productivity.
• Prepare production budgets, strategize capacity expansions, and lead initiatives for steady business growth.
