About the Role
This role involves leading work initiatives independently with minimal supervision, focusing on long-term goals. The specialist will act as an internal consultant and facilitator by offering guidance to perform operational tasks effectively. Key responsibilities revolve around supporting the formulation of annual departmental operating plans, strategies, and KPIs aligned with the approved strategic objectives of the sector or deputyship.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze data to produce comprehensive reports recommending strategies for the Governor's Office.
- Convey the approved strategic objectives and priorities from the Governor's Office to relevant internal stakeholders and develop departmental operating plans and strategies accordingly.
- Collect strategic, operational, and budgetary plans from departments ensuring they align with the Governor's Office priorities, consolidate these plans, and coordinate with the Strategy and Development sector for management approval.
- Create KPIs and targets for the Governor's Office that correspond with the overall strategic objectives of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
- Oversee implementation of approved operational plans and assist Governor's Office departments in identifying and overcoming challenges through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-organizational activities ensuring compliance with organizational mandates and report any discrepancies as needed.
- Work with the Strategy and Development sector as the main contact point for updating business processes to ensure alignment with ZATCA guidelines, templates, and strategies.
- Monitor project management activities within the Governor's Office and prepare status update reports.
- Prepare action plans based on meeting outcomes, share them with stakeholders, and track the progress of key decisions.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Governor regarding decision implementations and special projects.
- Handle and coordinate requests from internal stakeholders, ensuring requirements are met accurately and promptly.
- Adhere strictly to policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and control in work activities.
- Assist in resolving escalated issues and support junior team members to maintain work efficiency.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate personnel to ensure proper resolution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Guide and train junior employees in job functions to facilitate skill transfer when applicable.
- Provide clear instructions, prioritize activities, assign tasks, and supervise the workflow of junior staff.
- Support direct reports in fulfilling their responsibilities in compliance with organizational policies and processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent is considered advantageous.
- At least 5 years of pertinent professional experience is required.
