Job description

Position Overview

Allcare Pharmacy invites applications for a Pharmacy Technician to become an integral part of our Allcare Flynns Pharmacy team located in Ennis, County Clare. This permanent, full-time role involves a 40-hour workweek spread over 5 days, operating during the store's business hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with the store closed on Sundays.

Team Structure

The current workforce includes a Retail Store Manager, a Supervising Pharmacist, one support staff member, and two technicians.

Primary Duties

  • Maintain accuracy with meticulous attention to detail in all tasks
  • Prepare and dispense medications under the oversight of the Pharmacist with professionalism and care
  • Manage stock levels and place orders for medicines as per the store's requirements
  • Assemble blister packs, process, and track claims efficiently
  • Support the Pharmacist within the busy dispensary environment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a bustling dispensary environment is an advantage, though newly qualified Pharmacy Technicians are encouraged to apply
  • Familiarity with McLernons MPS system is beneficial
  • Possession of IPU Pharmacy Technician qualification or a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is favorable
