Role Overview
This position offers a full-time remote opportunity for a Persian OPI/VRI Interpreter who will facilitate effective communication between Persian and English speakers through phone and video channels. The role requires precise and culturally sensitive interpretation to preserve the meaning, tone, and style of messages. Key tasks include managing both scheduled and on-demand calls, adhering to client protocols, maintaining confidentiality, documenting sessions if necessary, and collaborating with supervisors and teams to resolve technical issues and improve service quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluency in Persian and English with strong listening, speaking, and comprehension abilities.
- Experience in phone or video remote interpreting in professional or community contexts is advantageous.
- Capability to accurately and neutrally translate information, preserving tone and context.
- Comfortable using technology such as video platforms, VOIP systems, and remote collaboration tools.
- Heightened cultural sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and communication methods.
- Excellent customer service attitude, maintaining professionalism and respect in interactions.
- Effective time management skills to handle consecutive calls in a remote setting.
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and compliance with relevant guidelines.
- Prior experience with medical, legal, or business interpretation considered a plus.
- Relevant certification or training in interpretation/translation preferred but not mandatory.
