Performance Test Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer with 8 to 10+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in product testing within Agile environments and have comprehensive knowledge across various stages of product release cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct performance testing on cloud-based applications, platforms, microservices, service bus, and Eventhubs, primarily on Azure.
• Utilize various load testing tools such as JMeter (preferred), LoadRunner, and Gatling for evaluating application performance.
• Analyze system performance using monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, and Application Insights.
• Apply scripting skills in Java or Python to develop and maintain testing scripts.
• Integrate performance tests within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Contribute to the design and development of performance testing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose performance issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Utilize databases including SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB to support testing scenarios.
• Understand architectural design impacts on performance including front-end to database interactions, and geographically distributed setups.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 8 to 10+ years of experience specializing in performance testing and engineering.
• Strong background in Agile product testing methodologies and product release processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps.
• Deep experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with multiple performance testing techniques and their appropriate application.
• Competent programming and scripting skills in Java or Python.
• Solid experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Good logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
