About the Role
Craigs Investment Partners is seeking a People Operations and Improvement Lead to help deliver a dependable, compliant, and efficient people function. This role sits within the People & Performance team and supports a positive employee experience by making key processes easy to follow, accurate, and well maintained.
You will partner with People Leaders, Business Partners, Payroll, Digital, Compliance, Marketing, and other internal teams to keep people operations running smoothly across the organisation.
What You Will Do
- Drive ongoing improvement work across People & Performance to make processes simpler, more consistent, lower risk, and better for both employees and People Leaders.
- Manage core operational people processes, including workflows, procedure documents, controls, templates, and team ways of working.
- Provide hands-on generalist support to People Leaders and employees on people policies, systems, processes, and lifecycle matters.
- Oversee people administration tasks such as employment letters, contracts, variations, employee files, shared inbox queries, and document handling.
- Coordinate onboarding and exit processes, making sure documentation, communication, system updates, and compliance steps are completed correctly and on time.
- Support recruitment administration, including advertising, pre-employment checks, and onboarding paperwork.
- Manage the setup, administration, and ongoing upkeep of the performance framework in Culture Amp.
- Lead the employee engagement survey process, covering planning, system setup, communication coordination, reporting, analysis, and follow-up actions.
- Assist with health, safety, and wellbeing processes such as meetings, incident reporting, return-to-work coordination, workstation checks, and associated records.
- Support payroll activities through preparation work, employee data accuracy, reporting, inbox management, and process enhancements.
- Look for opportunities to apply technology, automation, and AI to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability of routine People & Performance administration.
About You
We are looking for someone with solid HR generalist experience, strong judgement, and a high level of care for detail. The right person will be organised, practical, and comfortable taking ownership of important people processes from start to finish.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar human resources role.
- Proven capability in HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, and continuous improvement.
- Experience using HRIS, payroll, or other people systems.
- Confidence preparing employment documents and keeping employee records accurate and up to date.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle several priorities at once.
- A proactive, practical, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience in a corporate or regulated environment.
- Comfort working with data, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Payroll processing or payroll support experience is an advantage.
- Experience with Culture Amp or a similar performance and engagement platform would be beneficial.
