Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee the comprehensive monthly payroll operations within our organization located in Yangon, Myanmar. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of salary payments, allowances, employee benefits, as well as adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire monthly payroll cycle, guaranteeing punctual and precise disbursement of wages and benefits according to company guidelines.
- Examine and verify attendance data, leave entitlements, overtime, and all payroll-related information to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Compute and process mandatory deductions such as Personal Income Tax (PIT) and contributions to the Social Security Board (SSB), fully complying with Myanmar’s labor and tax laws.
- Maintain and update payroll databases and personnel salary records, including adjustments and relevant documentation.
- Generate monthly payroll reports, conduct payroll cost analyses, and prepare variance reports along with other financial reports for management assessment.
- Address employee questions related to payroll, compensation, and benefits promptly, resolving any discrepancies professionally.
- Prepare payroll files and records to support both internal and external audits.
- Safeguard confidential payroll and personal employee information with the highest level of data privacy.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Two to three years of demonstrated experience handling payroll administration or operational payroll tasks.
- Strong analytical and numerical capabilities coupled with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion in managing sensitive information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
