Package Specialist - SAP HANA Basis

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain SAP HANA Basis solutions to provide a robust infrastructure for SAP HANA applications.
• Monitor system health and perform ongoing system checks to ensure SAP HANA environments operate smoothly.
• Manage HANA installation and configuration tasks, facilitate integration with other SAP modules, and assist with HANA SLT configuration and BW on HANA migrations.
• Collaborate closely with business users, IT teams, and other relevant parties to guarantee smooth integration of SAP HANA Basis with SAP landscapes and external applications.
• Utilize technical expertise in SAP HANA Basis along with database management and system architecture skills to administer and support the SAP HANA system effectively.

Educational Background

A Master's Degree is preferred for this position.

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Basis covering design, implementation, and maintenance of the solutions, with strong understanding of database administration and system architecture.
• Proficiency in HANA installation and configuration processes, including integration with other SAP systems; experience with HANA SLT configuration and knowledge of BW on HANA migration is required.
• Capability in system health checks and monitoring within client environments to sustain optimal SAP HANA system operations.
• Familiarity with SAP system integration challenges and solutions, particularly involving third-party software interfacing with SAP HANA Basis.
• Foundational knowledge in database administration practices relevant to SAP HANA Basis environments.

Preferred Experience

• Broader understanding of database administration principles including data modeling, warehousing, and governance beyond SAP HANA Basis.
• Insight into SAP system architecture, particularly about the interplay of various SAP modules and their integration with SAP HANA Basis.
• Experience in linking SAP HANA Basis with external applications, including awareness of APIs, data exchange formats, and interfacing protocols.
