Role overview
Amazon is seeking a capable Operations Manager to support the expansion of its logistics operations in the region. The role sits within the Operations team, which is responsible for delivering speed, precision, and dependable service at scale. The OTR function is centered on meeting customer expectations by ensuring strong delivery performance and close coordination with multiple stakeholders.
The position is focused on helping the business grow while keeping operations scalable, efficient, and aligned with customer commitments.
Key responsibilities
The Operations Manager will be expected to define and communicate strategy and performance targets, while improving route productivity through training, data review, and regular performance feedback.
- Work with the AMZL Delivery Station under-the-roof management team to maintain high quality standards.
- Identify improvement opportunities early and drive Lean and process-enhancement initiatives.
- Coordinate across teams, track tasks, and ensure alignment on priorities and delivery.
- Support communication across functions so goals and actions remain coordinated and the program stays on track.
- Plan ahead, forecast outcomes, and help resolve performance or operational issues.
- Manage several complex projects at the same time.
- Handle cross-functional projects or major program components, including data collection, data analysis, manipulation, and interpretation, along with supply-chain-oriented recommendations.
- Develop and implement changes that improve the transportation network and strengthen flexibility and efficiency for customers.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, building security requirements, and product loss prevention standards.
Required background
Applicants should have a strong operational background, experience managing teams and performance, and the ability to work across functions in a fast-moving environment.
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification, or at least 2 years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in employee and performance management.
- At least 5 years of operational experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Fluency in spoken, written, and read English.
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean methods is preferred.
- An MBA or master's degree is preferred.
