About the Role
Join a reputable freight forwarding and logistics company situated in Little Island, Cork. As a member of a dynamic sea freight team, you will play an essential part in ensuring smooth daily operations involving import, export, and logistics within a fast-moving, customer-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise shipment records and operational data.
- Prepare, process, and manage documentation related to freight, shipping, and customs.
- Assist with import, export, and customs administrative tasks.
- Oversee electronic filing systems and departmental documentation.
- Process sales and purchase invoices and help resolve invoice-related queries.
- Perform basic reconciliations and support month-end reporting activities.
- Compile weekly and monthly operational reports, including KPI data.
- Handle customer enquiries and provide updates on shipments.
- Maintain records of customers, suppliers, and carriers.
- Manage incoming emails, correspondence, and phone calls.
- Offer general administrative assistance to management and operations teams.
- Support compliance, audit, and reporting functions across the organization.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in an administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
- Adept at juggling multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain is beneficial.
- Familiarity with import/export documentation or customs procedures is advantageous.
