Role Overview
This position is part of the Nutrition and Dining team at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA. The role supports a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment while contributing to positive patient service and overall department quality. It is suited to someone who wants to build a career in a team-oriented healthcare setting with supportive leadership and strong employee benefits.
Core Duties
- Keep kitchen spaces clean and sanitary, including work surfaces, storage areas, and other assigned locations.
- Operate the automatic dish machine and the three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitation tasks.
- Collect and return carts for nursing units on a recurring schedule and whenever needed.
- Assist with patient tray assembly when required by stocking silverware, preparing tray mats, running a station, or handling related support tasks.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to maintain the department’s high standards for the Nutrition and Dining Program.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. No prior work experience is required, and no licenses or certifications are needed.
