Job description
Position Overview
The North Beckley Plaza Monitor role, stationed at the North Beckley Toll Plaza, involves ensuring smooth operations, safety, and customer satisfaction under the WV Parkways Authority guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Plaza Supervisor and address plaza or patron concerns adhering to established Authority policies.
- Accurately prepare and maintain daily operational records.
- Oversee the collection and secure handling of lane monies and all funds at North Beckley safes.
- Maintain safe and efficient traffic flow at the plaza.
- Manage inventory of supplies and distribution records.
- Conduct daily lane inspections and periodic toll facility and equipment checks.
- Facilitate the monthly Safety Training Program for custodian staff.
- Perform custodial duties and snow/ice control as needed when custodian is absent.
- Support and comply with all parkway policies including coverage hours, injury reporting, safety meetings, and handling customer complaints.
- Exhibit professionalism and set a positive example during customer service interactions.
- Control building access for authorized personnel while ensuring building security.
- Follow established emergency procedures for vehicle or patron lane incidents, including notifying supervisors and contacting emergency services promptly.
- Monitor the intercom to provide patrons with lane procedure instructions promptly.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED completion.
- Successful passage of background check is required.
- Valid driver’s license mandatory.
- At least one year of experience as a permanent toll collector (either part-time or full-time).
