Position Overview
Peppers Silo Hotel, an inspiring $30 million redevelopment located in Launceston, Tasmania, seeks a dedicated Night Auditor to join their team. The hotel features 108 rooms, including unique accommodations inside former grain silos, and offers guests proximity to popular attractions such as Seaport, Royal Park, Tamar River Basin, and Cataract Gorge. This role involves overseeing overnight front desk operations and performing essential accounting duties to ensure smooth next-day functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the reception desk overnight and execute the comprehensive night audit process to produce accurate and timely daily financial reports.
- Collaborate with security personnel to monitor the premises and maintain a safe atmosphere for all guests and staff.
- Support daytime colleagues with operational tasks to ensure continuous, high-quality guest service around the clock.
- Work night shifts from 11 pm to 7 am, embracing a schedule that includes weekends and public holidays on a rotating basis.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work independently, showing initiative and minimal need for supervision.
- Previous experience conducting night audits and familiarity with hotel accounting procedures is strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to prioritizing guest satisfaction and creating memorable experiences.
- Flexibility to accommodate a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
