About the Company

Chingola Resources Limited (CRL) is a mining enterprise situated in Chingola, Copperbelt Province, Zambia. The company currently seeks applicants for multiple roles to support its mining operations.

Positions and Responsibilities

  • Government Liaison and Public Relations Officer: Manage the entire process of applying, renewing, amending, and conducting annual inspections for all mining-related licenses and permits. Maintain regular communication with governmental bodies, stay updated on policy changes, and assess possible risks. Organize government inspections and official visits, address bottlenecks in approvals, interpret local mining laws, and provide internal guidance. Execute additional government and public relation tasks as assigned.
  • Human Resources Assistant (Personal Assistant to HR-Admin Supervisor): Provide dedicated support to the HR-Admin supervisor covering comprehensive human resources and administrative duties for both local and Chinese employees involved in the mining project. Responsibilities include managing recruitment processes (resume screening, interview scheduling, note-taking, and preliminary background checks), daily HR operations (personnel file management, attendance tracking, contract filing, onboarding and offboarding), support for local employee documentation including work permits and Temporary Employment Permits (TEP), staff uniform procurement, material requisitions, health and safety inventory maintenance and other HR and administrative tasks as delegated.

Requirements

  • Government Liaison and Public Relations Officer: Proven experience in government liaison and operational roles with knowledge of mining license and permit application processes. Ability to communicate and negotiate independently with local government entities. Skilled in preparing application documentation for permits and adept in drafting official documents. Thorough understanding of local mining legislations and policies is essential. Bachelor’s degree in public relations from a recognized institution required. At least five years of relevant experience in mining-related government affairs or public relations. Excellent communication and professional membership affiliation are mandatory.
  • Human Resources Assistant: Solid comprehension of recruitment, onboarding, contract administration, personnel files, and attendance management. Highly organized with aptitude for multitasking and working under pressure. Knowledge of local labor laws is advantageous. Experience with overseas mining or construction projects is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management from a recognized institution required. Between three to five years of practical HR experience demanded. Excellent communication skills and membership in the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management preferred.
