TM Physiotherapy is a well-established and expanding physiotherapy practice in Douglas, Cork, dedicated to enhancing clients' mobility, accelerating recovery, and promoting long-term physical well-being through evidence-based treatment methods. Role Overview
We are inviting applications for a motivated Chartered Physiotherapist, whether experienced or recently graduated, to join our growing team. The selected candidate will handle a diverse patient caseload, addressing acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, sports-related injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, mobility restrictions, and overall physical health concerns. This role involves close patient collaboration throughout their rehabilitation journey and opportunities to deepen expertise in exercise rehabilitation and Pilates.
No prior Pilates experience is necessary as new hires will undergo an extensive six-week induction program, including training in Pilates rehabilitation, clinical shadowing, supervised practice, and personalized mentoring to build competence and confidence before managing independent caseloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physiotherapy evaluations and formulate customized treatment plans.
- Administer high-standard, research-supported physiotherapy treatments and rehabilitation regimens.
- Guide patients through recovery from injuries, surgical rehabilitation, injury prevention strategies, and return-to-activity plans.
- Develop and advance personalized exercise rehabilitation programs, integrating Pilates rehabilitation as applicable.
- Apply various therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise therapy, dry needling/acupuncture, and other relevant modalities.
- Ensure meticulous clinical documentation compliant with CORU standards and professional requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external healthcare providers to maximize patient outcomes.
- Contribute constructively to clinic growth and service enhancement.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Registration with CORU as a Physiotherapist or eligibility before start date.
- Open to both seasoned physiotherapists and recent graduates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- A patient-focused approach with dedication to superior care provision.
- Capacity to work autonomously and cooperatively within a team setting.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and adherence to evidence-based practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP).
- Experience in private practice physiotherapy is advantageous but not essential.
- Interest or experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, exercise rehabilitation, sports injury management, or post-operative care.
- Training or experience in modalities like dry needling, acupuncture, shockwave therapy, Clinical Pilates, or strength and conditioning beneficial but not mandatory due to provided training and mentoring.
