The role is based in Thiruvallur, India.
Role Overview
This position requires practical expertise in Mitsubishi PLC and HMI systems, along with automation equipment integration, drive communication, troubleshooting, and commissioning support. The work spans PLC logic development, HMI screen creation, field communication, and coordination with related shop-floor systems and equipment.
Technical Responsibilities
- Work on Mitsubishi Q Series, R Series, and FXU Series PLCs and HMI programming.
- Use GX Works as the primary programming platform.
- Handle field communication setups such as Ethernet IE and CC-Link where required.
- Configure Mitsubishi, DANFOSS, and SEW VFD drives, including parameter setting, PLC communication, and fault diagnosis.
- Create new PLC programs and design new HMI screens as per system needs.
- Map tags and I/Os and establish interlocks with VFDs such as Mitsubishi and SEW.
- Support conveyor logic, interlocks, and other PLC control logic for Mitsubishi-based systems.
- Work with EMS systems and material transfer systems used in body shop, paint shop, and GA shop environments.
- Handle Andon systems, pick-to-light solutions, error-proofing systems, and barcode integration.
- Apply knowledge of EOL equipment and filling machines as part of automation support.
- Review E-plan drawings, control panel circuits, and power wiring to verify installation and system correctness.
Additional Experience That Will Help
- Exposure to KUKA robot programming, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning is an added advantage.
- Experience with robot roller hemming cells, sealer application robots, and material handling equipment will be beneficial.
