Job description
Role Overview
The MIS Analyst is an integral part of the International Banking Group, specifically supporting the Retail Collections & Recovery sector. The position focuses on detailed management information system (MIS) reporting and performance analysis to enhance the efficiency of collections and recovery processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute MIS and performance reports on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals.
- Create and sustain dashboards that track critical KPIs related to Collections & Recovery.
- Continuously monitor portfolio activity, including delinquency patterns, recoveries, and collection effectiveness.
- Evaluate performance metrics for individual collectors, teams, agencies, and legal recovery efforts.
- Prepare comprehensive write-off reports and recovery-after-write-off documentation across various timeframes.
- Analyze trends for write-offs, net portfolio losses, and overall portfolio shifts.
- Manage the upload, update, and maintenance of regulatory reports via the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Portal.
- Ensure all regulatory filings are submitted on time and meet QCB compliance standards.
- Receive, consolidate, verify, and disseminate reports from different departments including Collections, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Legal.
- Conduct data reconciliation and maintain the integrity and accuracy of all reports.
- Liaise with internal teams to gather data and fulfill reporting requirements.
- Drive automation of manual reports and streamline MIS procedures to improve efficiency.
- Support audits, compliance, financial, and regulatory reporting needs.
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel features such as PivotTables, Power Query, Charts, and Data Analysis.
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Competence in managing presentations and communication tools like PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong internet navigation skills with familiarity using online regulatory platforms such as the QCB Portal.
- Expertise in data reconciliation techniques, quality control, and report automation practices.
- Keen analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication abilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities and projects with sound time management.
- A proactive and self-driven attitude with eagerness for continuous learning and embracing new challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Between one to two years of prior experience in a comparable role, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting requirements is considered beneficial.
